EastEnders newcomer Scott Maslen, who has moved on from The Bill and now plays Jack Branning in the BBC1 soap, says his favourite holiday is somewhere far away from it all.

'It has to be the Indian Ocean. No news, no shoes – I love it!

'I love fishing and being on a beach with white sand. I'm a bit of a sun-worshipper, but I don't like it too hot – there has to be a nice breeze to make it perfect.

'I also love England,' he continues. 'I love all the history and staying in an old country cottage.'

Just a shame the weather is rarely quite as tropical, eh, Scott!
